I Hate It When That Happens!
I'm a little irked right now.
This Sunday's show was sooo good. A great guest visit from an election integrity activist that I rarely have the extra radio time for, Paul Lehto (one of the country's TOP FIVE experts able to interpret election reform legislation in real-world outcome terms). Sadly, more than half of the audio was not properly recorded by the engineer at the KPHX studio for his segment and is now lost forever. Unless you know someone who happened to record it that is...if so, puh-lease let me know so I can add it to the archive which as of now is sadder for the loss... (it would be segment two of the broadcast).
I guess I'll just have to get over it (argh).
Elizabeth de la Vega was interesting and her book, United States v. George W. Bush et al, I really do think, is an important read (and her segment is entirely intact). But make up your own mind and if you don't want to plunk down the bucks for her book, at least get by the library and if it's not on the shelves, ask your librarian to order it (often he or she will).
The Action Point list for this week was pretty meaty (and again sadly, without the archive audio from Paul Lehto you won't have much background on those suggestions from which to work but I know you'll 'make do'...).

Election Integrity advocates:
- Get familair with the the current Holt (revised) bill by visiting Black Box Voting and reviewing all the sections with comments.
- Spend some time over at Democratic Underground. Paul Lehto blogs under the moniker "landshark" (don't ask me...)
- Keep in mind that the key phrase that reflects what citizens most need is "oversight"
- Want to speak with Paul directly? Really. You can call him at 425-422-1387.
- Take a look at de la Vega's book United States v. George W. Bush et al.
- For framing advocates interested in discussing the topic with folks and seeking the best language for presenting your position, check out "Talking With Your Friends About Impeachment" at Progressive Action Alliance
- For those wishing more resources for direct action de la Vega suggests a visit to afterdowingstreet.org
- She also suggests that if you want impeachment to seriously move forward work on bringing resolutions for impeachment in front of your town council
- and...encourage congress to take up the matter--they are waiting for an outpouring from their constituents--they do after all, represent you!
